About

We can’t thank you enough for clicking by our website! You might be wondering how we came up with the name or where we are located, so you came to the right place! Arlee Park was started unknowingly throughout 2016. We are twin sisters, Ashley (Hello!) and Jamie (Hieee!). We each married some fantastic fellas in 2014 & 2015. Throughout our wedding planning process, we visited thrift stores on the regular to acquire pieces of décor to scatter about on tables for our dinner settings. It was always a dream of ours to open a boutique of sorts, but we had already ventured into a business that we thought was our main passion, photography. After months of traveling, we started Ash & James Photography together in 2010 and have been photographing weddings ever since. With some time on our hands in the winter months, we thought it would be a jolly ol’ time to list some items on Etsy that we thought would appeal to other vintage loving beings. At the end of 2016, we took the leap and stumbled upon a retail space that we couldn’t pass up! Gallons of paint later, here we be.

Oh, the good part! The name! Yes. It’s named after our grandmother, Arlene, along with the little links we have in common. In the late 50’s, our grandma gave birth to our mother while living in Minneapolis. Fast forward to 2014 when we both bought our homes on Park Avenue in South Minneapolis. That’s when our grandma casually mentioned “Well, I lived on Lake and Park, you know.” Nope, grams, we did not. With a small twist on her name and the street we all have called home, evolved Arlee Park! Our curated items are a mix of vintage and modern goods and threads that can be incorporated into the modern home and daily life. Come stop by to see what’s in store as new items make their appearance daily. See you soon!
